STEAL AWAY HOME, By Billy Coffey

This is a novel in the Christian genre. It is endorsed by many other authors in the beginning of the book. The author, Billy Coffey, begins this novel with an Author's Not and a couple of quotes. He does not number his content by chapters. Instead, he breaks up his content in shorter sections. The Coffey ends his content with Acknowledgements. He finally includes Discussion questions. His brief author bio states that he is a regular contributor to several publications. He has written at least six critically acclaimed books, and their covers are shown in the back of this book.

This book did not hold my interest. Throughout most of it, I felt lost in the material and when I feel such, my interest goes away. Maybe because it is because this book is written in the language of sports. Not being a sports fan, I was not interested. At one point in the book. I had lost my place. And it took about 20 or more minutes to find my place. I became quite frustrated. I have NEVER experienced before this, when reading any book for review. I only got interested in this novel close the end of the book. And that was when the lead character suffered one loss after another. It seemed that they did not resolve themselves at the end of the book. Overall, I found this a disappointing book. Maybe someone of it is me, but it was not a good reading experience.

Who would I recommend this book for? If you are not a sports fan, chances are that this book may not hold your interest. If you want a happy ending, you may be disappointed. But if you like and understand sports, you probably will enjoy this book.

I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for my honest review of this book. I was not required to give an honest review of this book.
